Best of luck Ronan and Colm in Puc Fada!

This weekend the All-Ireland Puc Fada will be held and Kinvara are proud that two of our club members are representing Galway and Connacht in the finals.

It all started three weeks ago when the Galway Puc Fada competition was held in Athenry. Colm Callanan won the adult title while Ronan Kilkelly came second in the U16 category.

The following Monday they both travelled up to Toureen, Co, Mayo to compete in the Connacht Finals. Ronan's U16 competiton was up first and he reversed his second place in Galway to win and clinch the Connacht Title. The pressure was then on Colm to match that and he did not disappoint as he also won the Connacht title at adult level.

The two now travel to Annaverna Mountain in Co. Louth to compete in the annual Puc Fada championship. This format takes shape of pucking the sliotar over a course on a mountain and whoever takes the least number of shots will be the winner.

The two lads can be seen up on Abbey Hill practising every morning!

Best of luck!
