You are all welcome back to Kinvara GAA for 2012!
As the oldest club in Kinvara (formed in 1989) and the biggest, we are delighted to invite you to join our club and play our national sports of hurling and football. Our club treasurer Paddy has attached a detailed letter to you outlining our registration and other info. Please feel free to raise any points with any club officer that may arise from this or at anytime during the year.
This year we have a new Childrens Welfare Officer in Patricia Kilkelly. Her role will be fully utilised by us to ensure that all kids have a fun and safe environment to play our national games, and that they develop accordingly. Her role will include making sure that all coaches are Garda Vetted, have relevant coaches courses done, and that the GAA Code of Practice and Best Behaviour is adhered to by all players, coaches, parents and the club itself.
If you have any concerns or issues during the year, you can confidentially contact Patricia Kilkelly on 065-7078142 after 8pm.
I would also like to stress the GAA campaign of RESPECT (Give Respect – Get Respect). We will work to ensure that our games are promoted and played in a positive, fair and enjoyable manner. RESPECT – Responsible, Encouraging, Supportive, Positive, Enabling, Considerant, Tolerant.
Throughout the year you will also find daily and weekly news items, results and fixtures on our club website at www.kinvara.galway.gaa.ie. We will also be taking photos at events throughout the year and these can be viewed here.
Finally, we thank you for registering with Kinvara GAA and we aim to give an exciting and fun-packed year for your children.
